Windows Instructions:
Read Nitty Gritty for details on what order to install these software programs in. Create a directory in your MyDocuments folder called security. Download all the software listed here to that directory using Firefox. (The Hosts file will have directly installed to the proper place and no further work is required on it.) Please note that the file names are shown mainly for you to know if you are getting an old version or not. This page will be slow to update. When new versions come out, you will see newer file names than what are shown here.
If seeing this list of programs makes you sigh, remember that you need to do this in order to have a hope of making Windows secure. One thing nice about Linux is that it is already secure on install. It is complete and ready to go with web browsers, email, chat, office and productivity tools. All this is free. Try it, you will probably like it.
